When does each tariff pay off?
We offer you three tariffs that fit your individual driving behaviour. The Standard tariff is perfect for trips with a plug-in hybrid vehicle with its low monthly basic fee of 3.80 GBP (incl. VAT). If you drive a purely battery-electric vehicle, you can benefit from our special conditions at IONITY fast-charging stations. Here you can choose between two additional tariffs, IONITY M and IONITY L, in addition to the standard tariff. Both tariffs show improved charging conditions at IONITY fast charging stations compared to the standard tariff. In the tariff IONITY M you can charge for 0.45 GBP per kWh and in the tariff IONITY L you can charge for 0.25 GBP per kWh instead of 0.70 GBP per kWh in the standard tariff.
The activation of the charging tariffs IONITY M and IONITY L as part of the Charge&Fuel Card is subject to a higher monthly basic fee of 7.90 GBP (incl. VAT) for IONITY M and 15.50 GBP (incl. VAT) for IONITY L. An electric vehicle with a CCS (Combined Charging System) connection is required for the use of the IONITY fast charging network. We recommend using the Charge&Fuel Card tariff IONITY M if you charge with at least 239 kWh per year in the IONITY fast charging network. If you charge your electric vehicle with more than 390 kWh per year in the IONITY fast charging network, the Charge&Fuel Card tariff IONITY L is recommended.

What does the abbreviation HPC stand for?
HPC stands for High-Power-Charging (HPC). HPC enables very fast charging of an electric vehicle. This option is particularly advantageous on long journeys. Note: an electric vehicle with a CCS (Combined Charging System) connection is required to use the IONITY fast charging network.
What types of charging are there?
Electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles can be charged with alternating current (AC) at a conventional household socket with appropriate fuse protection, a wallbox or at special charging points. Electric vehicles (BEV) can also be charged with direct current (DC/HPC) at fast charging stations. Direct current charging takes much less time compared to alternating current charging.
Example based on a Volkswagen ID. 3 (58 kWh battery):
AC charging:
Household socket 2.3 kW 100% of battery capacity: approx. 25 hours
Charging time AC 7.2 kW 100% of battery capacity: approx. 9. 5 hours
Charging time AC 11 kW 100% of battery capacity: approx. 6 hours
DC/HPC charging (10-80%) - The charging power drops when the charge level exceeds 80%.
Charging time DC 100 kW 80% of battery capacity: approx. 35 minutes
